Candidates should add their curriculum vitae to give information about themselves.  

  • Diploma 

Candidates who want to apply for master’s programs must have a bachelor’s degree, and those who wish to apply for the PhD program must have a bachelor’s degree and a thesis master’s degree. 

Please see below for specific field requirements:  

Architectural and Urban Studies Master’s Thesis program is open to graduates not only from departments related to architecture (interior architecture, urbanism, etc.) but also from all departments under social sciences.    

Candidates who want to apply for Computer Engineering Master’s Thesis or PhD program must have a degree in the field of computer engineering.   

Candidates who want to apply for Computational Applied Science and Engineering PhD must have a degree in the field of engineering.   

Candidates who want to apply for Electronics Engineering Master’s Thesis or PhD program must have a degree in the field of electronics engineering.   

Candidates who want to apply for Industrial Engineering Master’s Thesis or PhD program must have a degree in the field of industrial engineering. 

Candidates who want to apply for Private Law (PhD), Private Law (Thesis) or Public Law (Thesis) must have a degree in the field of law.  

  • Transcript 

Candidates who want to apply for the master’s program must submit their transcripts with their diploma during application.

Candidates who want to apply for Computer Engineering (Thesis) must have a 2.40/4.00 GPA. 

Candidates who want to apply for Computer Engineering (PhD), Electronics Engineering (PhD) or Industrial Engineering (PhD) must have a 3.00/4.00 GPA.  

Candidates who want to apply for Computational Applied Science and Engineering (PhD) or Gender Studies (PhD) must have a 2.75/4.00 GPA. 

Candidates who want to apply for Electronics Engineering (Thesis), Energy and Sustainable Development (Thesis) or Industrial Engineering (Thesis) must have a 2.50/4.00 GPA. 

  • English language test score

The English language test score should have been taken within the last 2 years based on the date of your university enrollment. 

International candidates who have graduated from higher education institutions in countries where the official language is English, as well as graduates of Kadir Has University, are not required to submit an English test score when applying to any postgraduate program at Kadir Has University.

* Candidates who have graduated from higher education institutions within the borders of the European Union, where the medium of instruction is at least 70% English, are not required to provide additional proof of English language proficiency when applying to programs taught in English.

For non-thesis master’s programs there is no requirement for an English test score. Candidates will be evaluated through admission interview. Candidates who have test scores should upload their documents to expedite their own applications. 

Candidates taking the TOEFL or PTE exam within the borders of the Republic of Turkey must have the exam conducted at a state university campus. Exams conducted at other institutions within the borders of the Republic of Turkey are not valid. 

To apply, candidates must have a score of 78 on the TOEFL exam or 67 on the PTE exam. Programs that require higher scores are listed below. 

Candidates who want to apply for International Relations (PhD), International Political Economy (Thesis) or International Relations (Thesis) must have a score of 85 on the TOEFL exam or 71 on the PTE exam. 

Candidates who want to apply for Architectural and Urban Studies (Thesis) must have a score of 90 on the TOEFL exam or 75 on the PTE exam.  

Candidates who want to apply for Cinema and Television (Thesis), Film and Drama (Thesis), Film and Drama (Thesis) (Non-thesis), Private Law (PhD), Private Law (Thesis) or Public Law (Thesis) must also have Turkish language certificate.  

  • Statement of Purpose

The candidate should prepare a statement of purpose, explaining why they want to join the program, their goals related to the program, career path, motivations, and expectations, in a maximum of 1000 words. 

  • Research Proposal

Thesis and PhD candidates should prepare what their thesis should contain, details about the purpose, significance, novelty, methodology, etc., and must not exceed 500 words. It is mandatory for all thesis-based master’s and doctoral program applications. 

Candidates wishing to apply for the Design (Thesis) program must submit a portfolio showing their work along with the research proposal. 

  • Reference Letter 

You need to add two reference letters to the application system. Reference letters should be written considering the program you are applying for, and they should explain the academic and personal qualifications as well as why the reference writer is composing this letter.
